NSVRC is partnering with Phoenix Gender-Based Violence Lab to conduct research for a trauma-informed needs assessment that addresses the needs, experiences, and priorities of survivors and their communities.
About the Study
The goal of this study is to better understand the current needs, challenges, and strengths within communities when it comes to supporting people affected by sexual violence — especially survivors. We want to learn directly from survivors, service providers, and members of the general public about:
- What services and supports are most needed?
- What barriers do people face when trying to access help?
- What community members know (or don’t know) about sexual violence?
- How are systems like healthcare, law enforcement, or social services currently responding?
- What ideas do people have for preventing sexual violence and supporting healing?
- What programs or practices are working well and should be expanded?
What’s Involved?
- Survey: Confidential online survey (20-30 mins)
- Optional follow-up interview:
- Survivors: Photo-Elicitation and Reflective Listening (PEARL) interview (60-90 mins) — Paid $100
