We Stand Committed to Social Justice

The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR) and National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) work to end all forms of sexual violence and to advocate for the rights and needs of victims of sexual assault. We are committed to creating a future free from sexual violence and believe every individual has a role to play in this vision. All forms of bias, prejudice and oppression obstruct the mission of ending sexual violence.

All forms of oppression create injustices and hardships. This can include both increased risks for being harmed and compounded barriers in getting help and justice. We cannot tolerate the marginalization of any individual or group. This includes people of color, people living in poverty, immigrants, women, Muslims, people who identify as LGBTQ or people with disabilities.

PCAR and NSVRC are committed to dismantling oppression against people of color, people living in poverty, women, people who identify as LGBTQ, people with disabilities, and people of diverse ethnicities, national origins and faith communities.

We seek to uphold racial equity and social justice. We are committed to creating a world where diversity is celebrated, all people are treated with dignity and respect and all people have full autonomy over their own bodies and sexual expression.

It is towards this mission that we use our voice and privilege to mobilize change that will result in communities free from sexual violence and oppression. We use our voice to work toward lasting social change. We call on all individuals, organizations and leaders to join us in shaping the future.
